CHRIS BEYER
Client Services Associate/Tax Preparer

Chris is an alumnus of the University of Minnesota where she earned a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering and the University of St. Thomas where she earned a Masters in Business Management.

Chris is a certified tax preparer currently assisting Frank Ell. 

Chris enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, biking, and going on a long walks.




LORI DAVIS
Office Administrator

Lori is the Office Administrator and the first person you meet when coming through the doors of BBFG. Lori is the “go to person” - responsible for scheduling of clients, maintaining all tax files and the client data base; handles administrative projects and ensures general office operations are running smoothly and efficiently.

Lori is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with a degree in Elementary Education. Lori came to BBFG with a great deal of experience as an administrative assistant from Carlson Travel and the National Center for Health Promotion.

Lori and her husband Mark enjoy spending time with their children and new granddaughter.




JULIE DOMRES
Administrative Assistant

Julie joined the BBFG team in December of 2016 and is the Administrative Assistant to Gene and Scott Burns. Her 20+ years of experience in an administrative roll, most recently supporting several Ameriprise Financial Advisors, will be valuable in assisting Gene and Scott with their financial planning and tax clients. 

She has also owned and operated a successful wedding and events Floral Design Studio for the past 15 years.

Julie resides in St. Louis park with her husband, Tom, and two sons, Danny and Ryan. She enjoys walking around the lakes, running, biking, canoeing, gardening and reading.



KELLI MEYER
Client Services Associate

Kelli is the assistant to Frank Shimkus and has been with BBFG since 2007. Kelli’s previous experience in the banking industry has been valuable to Frank and their clients in working with client’s tax and financial planning questions. Kelli has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from University of St. Thomas along with a teaching degree. 

Kelli and her family live in Prior Lake.




KATIE PIERCE
Administrative Assistant

Katie is the administrative assistant to Frank Ell and brings to BBFG 17+ years of marketing expertise from a company that sold annuities and life insurance.  In that role, she supported marketers and agents when working with their clients, and provided training and education on the products.

Katie believes that customer service and a family atmosphere work best when working with people on their tax and financial planning throughout the various financial stages in their life.

Katie enjoys spending time with her family, riding her motorcycle, camping and travel.


GERTIE SIMON
Administrative Assistant

Gertie works in administrative areas for BBFG.  Gertie comes to us with 34 years of judicial assistance work for the Federal government in the Federal Courts system.

During the tax season, she works with our tax clients scheduling appointments and assisting them with the many administrative questions they may have.  In the non-tax season, she provides administrative assistance with financial planning for Frank Shimkus and Kelli Meyer.

Gertie is an energetic individual who enjoys biking, card playing and camping.  She and her husband reside in Burnsville and have two grown children.
